She combines guitars and electronics with her unique plaintive voice to create music that is modern, yet reminiscent of the Dark Wave sound found in the 80’s and 90’s. Her first EP, A Void, was released in the summer of 2023 with a second EP, O Diva, being released the following year. The trilogy was completed in 2025 with the EP, Id Ova. A fourth EP is in the works, with an expected release date sometime in 2026. Hyperestis has contributed to the Paraluna Records trans charity compilation Transversal, Darkness Calling’s Gothflesh, and At Sea Compilations La Danse Macabre 16. She was also a featured on the Stabbed By Prongs album Static Skin, writing lyrics and singing on the track Pyromancer. Gabi is a queer, transgender woman. She played in various Goth, Industrial, Synth-Pop, and Rock bands before taking a many years long hiatus. She began her solo project, Hyperestis, in 2021.
